Tonight At My Vision Group we got to taking about why the new generation was turning away from the church one of gentleman at my table gave a very interesting answer. He said the new generation was so focused on wanting people their own age to fellowship with. When they saw all these older people the kids thought well I don't have anything in common and the old people don't understand us and so on. He said we understand you its just that they don't want to learn all the history of the church so it can be passed down to the younger people. On the other side of the discussion he said we have all these teen programs in church's today its like OK where does the 50+ year old group go to its like now there is no room in the church for me. I said we must respect our elderly folks because if we don't let them in then how can the church get passed down to the people of the future. This problem also sits with us as a country as well we are not listening to our elders we think as the new generation we can do whatever we want. Here's a wake up call it doesn't work that way folks.
